Trattoria Da Carlo

When Italian-born Chef Carlo Bianchi arrived on Margarita Island in 2005, he fell in love with the Caribbean light, the fresh seafood, and the warmth of Venezuelan culture. He decided to stay, and Trattoria Da Carlo was born — a slice of Italy in the heart of Porlamar.

Every pasta is made by hand daily, from the silky tagliatelle to the pillowy gnocchi. The wood-fired oven, imported from Naples, produces pizzas with that perfect charred, blistered crust. Carlo has built relationships with local fishermen and farmers, creating a menu that celebrates both Italian tradition and Caribbean ingredients.
